Revolution Launches The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine Sunglasses

Quick Take: Revolution Eyewear’s exclusive license agreement with Apple Corps Ltd., the multi-media company founded by The Beatles, gives it the exclusive worldwide rights to develop certain Beatles’ songs and imagery for collections of sunwear and ophthalmic frames. The first collection under the arrangement is a sunwear collection inspired by the iconic Beatles’ song and film, "Yellow Submarine."

Specifics: There will be 10 “easy sell-through shapes” in the initial sunwear launch, consisting of 8 plastics and two metal styles. The styles will feature the unique artwork from the celebrated film, which is being re-released this spring.
Selling Points: The sunwear will feature the colorful artwork translated through a patented design transfer process. All ten pieces of the Yellow Submarine line had to get unanimous acceptance from Apple Corps’ board of directors, which includes Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison and Yoko Ono.
